As I read about Lindy's daring flight over the dunes and the eerie sight of the Eduard Bohlen shipwreck, it struck me how Mother Nature has her own way of reclaiming what's hers. The shifting sands of time, quite literally in this case, remind us of the impermanence of human structures in the face of her enduring beauty.

Thank you for sharing this captivating glimpse into Namibia's mysteries, both natural and historical.

Thank you Mitchell, thanks for reading CS&W. Many of the urban photos I use are aging some, and I'm reluctant to use them in the expectation that skylines, for example, look different nowadays. I would imagine, though, that if this Common Sense and Whiskey experiment continues into the new year, there will be some reformatting for 2024, and probably some room to bring the photo challenge back in some form.
